ECS Website and Social Media Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to personal information collected by Enterprise Charter School (“ECS”) via our public facing websites, our third-party enrollment lottery website, or other contact methods, including forms, newsletters, and sign-up sheets at public events (Collectively referred to as “Sites.”). This privacy policy also refers to personal data collected via our social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram, Linked-In and Twitter, (Collectively referred to as “Social Media Pages”). 

Data collected for enrolled students and their families falls under specific laws and regulations covered separately by the Parent’s Bill of Rights.

What information do we collect?

  • We collect information from you when you complete a form on our site, request information, submit a donation, or fill out an application for enrollment or employment at Enterprise Charter School. This information may be collected via any means, including online, email, telephone, SMS, or in-person at our building or one of our recruiting events.
  • When completing a form or contact ECS, you may be asked to provide your name, email address, mailing address, or phone number. When applying to ECS via the Enroll Buffalo Charters website (EBC), we will ask you specific questions about the applicant. We collect and store this information in our enrollment office.
  • When filling out a job application, you will be asked to enter information related to your application, such as your name, email, telephone, address, and work history. Attached resumes and cover letters will be collected and stored with our human resources department.
  • All visitors to our public-facing website may visit the site without sharing their personal information, such as their name or contact information. In this case, our website provider will still log basic connection information, such as your IP address, browser type, and interactions with website URLs. ECS may review this data periodically to track performance and improve the quality of our website.
  • Our website may collect cookies to help improve your experience and provide authorized access to pages.

 

What does Enterprise Charter School do with your information? 

We use your information to respond to your requests, provide services that you request, and further the mission and purposes of Enterprise Charter School. The social media sites where we have our Social Media Pages may provide aggregate information and analysis to us about visitors to our Social Media Pages. This allows us to better understand and analyze our user growth, general demographic information about the users of, and interaction with content on our Social Media Pages. If at any time, you wish to no longer be contacted via telephone, email, SMS, or social media, please contact us by telephone or in writing and include the contact information you would like removed. 


Does Enterprise Charter School share your information with third parties?


We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to unrelated third parties. We may share your information with third parties, including our contractors, vendors, and affiliates, to further the mission and purposes of Enterprise Charter School, or to fulfill your requests. We may also share your personal information as required to cooperate with a subpoena, search warrant or other legally valid inquiry, court order or other legal process, or as required or permitted by law, or as otherwise necessary and appropriate to protect Enterprise Charter School from harm due to fraud or other illegal activities.


How does Enterprise Charter School secure the information you share?


Our Sites utilize commercially reasonable precautions, including, encryption technology, firewalls, and other reasonable technical, administrative and physical measures designed to protect the personal information in our custody or control from unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure. Moreover, we regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. Your data is shared only with authorized ECS staff and they are required to keep the information confidential. If you make payment or donation via electronic means, private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.


Third party sites posted to our website and social media 

For your convenience, we may link to third-party websites through links on our Sites or Social Media. We do not directly share any data when you click on those links. If it is not one of our sites, the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of those other websites govern your online experience. Please review their terms of service and privacy policies if you have any questions about their practices.
